Ram Air Freight, Inc. is a full-service cargo company based in Raleigh, N.C., that specializes in time-critical freight. Since starting operations in 1982 with just a handful of Grumman Cheetahs, the company has grown to its present size of 53 airplanes while at the same time staying consistently profitable. We currently employ approximately 80 people and fly four different types of airplanes with more than one hundred daily departures to more than 50 destinations. Our customers are some of the best known banks on the East coast as well as freight carriers such as UPS and DHL. To reach the high standards of on-time performance required by our clients we always keep airplanes and flight crews on stand-by in case of mechanical or weather irregularities as well as for any extra charter work required. Our technical department is staffed by very experienced mechanics who maintain the aircraft to the high standards required by our type of operations. Also, Ram Air Freight only employs very experienced pilots with a minimum of 1,200 hours of flight experience and often more. The in-house training standards required to qualify as a line pilot exceed all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements, ensuring that only fully safe and qualified pilots operate in our system.
