Roberts name Assistant Chief Pilot
RALEIGH, N.C. -- Ryan Roberts, a 3,700-hour pilot with more than 4 1/2 years of Part 135 experience, has joined Ram Air Freight to be the company's new Assistant Chief Pilot.
Roberts holds an Air Transport Pilot certificate and is qualified in numerous aircraft, including King Airs, Cessna Caravans and Piper Navajos. Before coming to Ram Air Freight, Roberts was a charter pilot for Colemill Enterprises in Nashville, Tenn. He also has flown for Paragon Air Express, Gale Force Express, Quinnex and Flight Express. Roberts has a bachelor's of science degree in professional aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, along with a minor in aviation business administration.
He fills the position vacated by Jason Watson, who left last month to join SkyWest Airlines. Roberts' duties include recruiting and training new pilots and assisting Chief Pilot Bo Henriksson with oversight of the company's flight department.
"We're excited to have Ryan join the Ram Air team," said President Jon Heuman. "Because of his experience, he has a great feel of what it is that we do. His knowledge of the business will be a valuable asset as we continue to grow our network and expand our services."
Ram Air Freight is the time-critical freight leader in the mid-Atlantic and southeast regions. Its customers are some of the best known banks on the East coast as well as freight carriers such as UPS and Airborne Express. The company began operations in 1982 and has its headquarters at Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
